Here are some photos sent from a garden windmill customer in the Channel Islands. The Channel Islands are located between England and France and are an independent country. Here is some information from the customer. Thanks for the information and photos
Incidently my interest for windmills goes back many years when horticulture was our main industry and the island had many glasshouse properties and the mills were used for pumping water into the greenhouses(called vineries as they were originally built to grow vines the grapes being exported to England and France) later tomatoes then flowers were grown.Unfortunatly there are now no more mills and only a handfull of vineries, competition ending the industry.Today Gsy like Jsy are major finiancial centers it brings in a lot of money to the Island but has made everything terribly expensive and over crowded, we have 2480 people to the Sq Mile.
